I am in the middle of making fairy wings with a wire hanger, a pair of tights and some nice cotton material, I will post the finished product when I get there!
These are some felt dolls with different styles of hair to attach, the dresses are made of paper as is the little suitcase. I am making a camper van for these dolls but am not yet finished but here is my progress and I will update the finished item hopefully before summer so the dolls can go on holiday ; ) !
This year, again because of price and the fact that plastic and paper decorations just don’t last, I decided to make my own from felt. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it and the girls were absolutely delighted. Anything I make seems to make them so happy and makes me want to make more for them! Hope you like and it inspires!
We decided when we moved to the countryside that as we had a big garden now and no longer a shared one, that we would get our girls a playhouse. We found them very expensive (even the plastic ones!) so my husband set about building one. It’s not quite finished yet but it soon will be you can see it below and I will post a picture when it has been fully completed, glass windows and all. The interior won’t be done until next summer so I’ll keep you posted!
I needed some bookshelves in our playroom and also wanted a seating area for the girls to read at so I updated an old broken toy box and an old chest of drawers. The tall shelves are the actually chest with a new shelf inserted and the smaller shelves are the four drawers tacked together to create a cube effect bookshelf I then painted the whole lot with some nice furniture paint and waxed them to seal the paint. The cushions I also made and I added some other nice little touches here and there to make it extra special for the girls.
